Brucella Abortus Strain 19 Vaccine, Live IP Vet (Freeze Dried)
For active immunization of female cattle calves and buffaloes calves against Brucella abortus infection.
Description:
Each vaccine dose contains 40 x 109 of attenuated highly immunogenic live Brucella abortus strain 19 organisms, in freeze dried form and stabilized for longer shelf-life with a suitable stabilizer. Vaccine vial is supplied along with sterile vaccine diluent sufficient to dissolve( 10 ml per 5 dose) the contents of freeze dried vial.
Indication:
For the active immunization of female calves of cattle and buffaloes against Brucella abortus infections
Direction for use:
Reconstitution of vaccine:
Reconstitute each vaccine vial with 2-4 ml of pre-chilled diluent supplied, using a sterile syringe. Allow the contents to dissolve by gentle shaking. Withdraw contents back into the syringe and transfer to the diluent vial aseptically. Repeat the transfer(s) to completely wash off the contents of vaccine vial. Shake the diluent vial to mix the vaccine thoroughly and uniformly. The reconstituted vaccine should be maintained in cold chain and used within 2 hours.
Vaccination Schedule:
Vaccinate young female cattle and buffalo calves of age 3-6 months once only.
Dose and route of administration:
2 ml of reconstituted vaccine per animal by subcutaneous route only.
Precautions during administration:
Avoid antibiotic therapy before and after vaccination for a period of 21 days. Avoid accidental pricks and spillage on exposed body parts of the administrator
Presentation:
Vial of 5 doses, with vial of Sterile diluent (10 ml) separately.
Storage
Store between 2-8°C in a refrigerator.
Contra-indications:
Male calves and pregnant animals should not be vaccinated
